This past weekend I was interviewed by my Canadian brother Shane Christopher Neal for his TV show BS Live Rocks and it is now airing on Canadian TV. Hopefully soon it will be up online as well so people outside of Canada can see it.
Here’s their press release:
NEW EPISODE TONIGHT! of BS LIVE ROCKS on YourTV Niagara at 10pm HD 700. ACTOR, COMEDIAN, MODEL and TV PERSONALITY Eric Johnston is my CO-HOST for the episode. On the program tonight we have Michael Chess from Niagara’s Best Party Band F.O.F.F. or Friends of Figure Four and the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre in St Catharines. My good friend Rob Mount joins us from Rochester, New York! A fine Drummer and Gentleman! He has been the touring drummer with Foreigner’s Lou Gramm and we talk about some road stories playing with one of the most recognized voices in Rock. We also talk about how Rob DIDN’T get the gig with Raiding the Rock Vault in Las Vegas and subbing in for SCRAP METAL – a band formed by Gunnar Nelson and has talent like Eric Martin (Mr.Big), Mark Slaughter, Janet Gardner of Vixen, Stephen Pearcy, CJ Snare and Ted Poley to name a few. IT’S ALL TONIGHT at 10pm Eastern HD 700 on the Cogeco Network REPLAYS: SUN JAN 31 at 9pm WED FEB 3 at 10pm SUN FEB 7th at 9pm
Coming in early December, I’ll be joining the guys on “The Rockin’ House” on their show to have some laughs and talk about music and other cool stuff! Current and future guests are Ricky Byrd from Joan Jett, James Kottack of Scorpions and Kingdom Come, and Eric Levy of Night Ranger. I’ll update the page here as soon as I know what the broadcast date will be. Stay tuned!
This Thursday, October 1, I will once again join Shane Christopher Neal on his Industry 45 show – with an air-date to be determined. I had a blast the first time, and I expect round 2 to be just as much fun. Also, now that the show is available on iTunes Podcasts, my first appearance will soon be available there (it’s been available on YouTube – the link is on my interview-podcast page). I’ll update this page when I know of the broadcast date of my interview – stay tuned!
Hey kids! Just a quick note here to say that I’ve updated a couple links on the Podcast/Interview page, since over time, shows move their URL’s around. So, as of September 2020, everything is up to date. For now, I’m keeping busy teaching my drum students, one of them being my buddy Rob Hammersmith from Skid Row, and keeping up a big presence on the dreaded social media sites in order to stay relevant. Let’s hope we all get back to playing shows ASAP!!
Well, as most of you know, this year has been a wash for live performances. Obviously, there’s nothing we can really do about it. I’ve had recent events and gigs that look like they were going to happen during this summer, only to later be cancelled. The only thing we can do seems to be to use social media for showing clips of past live shows and other clips we do at home. So, since there’s really not much to report here this year, keep checking my social media sites, where I try to post things on a daily basis! Let’s hope we can get out and do live performances as soon as possible!
Just a quick note to wish everyone well during these wacky times of 2020! For obvious reasons, there hasn’t been much to update. Gigs that were supposed to happen have been cancelled. As of now, the next show for me is a big outdoor festival in Lima, NY on July 31. Hopefully that will still happen! In the meantime, stay safe!
I’m happy to say that recently I hooked up with Bill McFadden of No Nuts Cymbal Sleeves to officially come on board and also try out some new products of theirs! There are many benefits to using the cymbal sleeves, including less dampening of the cymbals as they ring, as well as much quicker and tear down time when setting up! Go check them out at https://www.nonutscymbalsleeves.com/
